Roger Litwiller, speaking at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Halifax

Join Roger at the Mariners Park Museum in Prince Edward County for a talk on the Royal Canadian Navy ships named for the Bay of Quinte Region on 16 July 2017 at 11 am.

Roger will focus on HMCS HALLOWELL, a frigate named for Prince Edward County, served extensively during WWII and later in the Israeli Navy during the Sinai War.  The second ship, HMCS TRENTONIAN was a corvette and escorted countless merchant ships in the Atlantic, and along the coasts of the UK and France.  This Canadian corvette was named for the City of Trenton and was the last corvette lost in action with the enemy when she was torpedoed on 22 February 1945.

HMCS HALLOWELL's Bell is proudly displayed at the Mariners Park Museum in Prince Edward County.

Both of these ships are included in Roger’s books, White Ensign Flying -The story of HMCS TRENTONIAN and Warships Of The Bay Of Quinte -The stories of six RCN ships named for the Quinte Region.

Copies of the books will be available for purchase on site and don’t miss this opportunity to get your book signed.
