David Lloyd -Perth, Australia.

“Your book was a very good read and restarted my interest in the RCN. It was interesting to see the first captain of HMCS Napanee, Lt Cmdr Dobson, (described in yr book) was the last captain of HMCS St Croix (described in the book Deadly Seas). A sad end for a brave man. I hope you are intending to write further on the RCN, perhaps service histories of other ships?”

Ron Sharp -Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

“It was with delight I read the Warships Of The Bay Of Quinte. I ordered two copies and and had one sent to my father, former Trentonian crew member Norman Sharp, who was delighted with the book. Thank you for your efforts in preserving the history of the Warships of the Bay of Quinte.”

Kevan Pipe -Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

“Dear Roger, I have just discovered your book on the ship my father sailed in during 4 years of WWII. I have just purchased a copy so I can read about the Warships of the Bay of Quinte as well as giving this to my daughter so she can know what her Grandad did during this time. Thank you for writing this book”

Sgt. Daniel K Speed, CD (Ret.), PPCLI -British Columbia, Canada.

“My Dad, Lt. Commander Ronald D Speed, CD served on the HMCS Belleville 17 November 1944- 7 June 1945. And in Korea aboard the HMCS Crusader. My Dad passed away on 10 October 2008. I enjoyed reading Warships of the Bay of Quinte, it gave me such perspective of what my Father and his ship mates endured during their time of service. Bravo Zulu and thank you for writing such an excellent account.”

Ronald A Robertson, CD 3 RCN Retired -Nova Scotia, Canada.

“Greetings Roger.

First , I thought the book was great! Once I started reading it, memories started going through my head and I was re-living all my earlier years in the Navy. I was the Buffer on HMCS Quinte when she was the tender for HMCS Scotian in the mid 1950’s.”
