Canadian sailors, A/PO Raymond Lounsbury, A/PO Raymond McDonald and AB Robert Catherine enjoy a run ashore in Cherbourg, France shortly after the French port was liberated in October 1944. Their ship, HMCS TRENTONIAN was one of the first Canadian corvettes to have leave in France although the picturesque city was still heavily damaged from the battle to free the port.
