HMCS HURON in the Toulon Drydock in France on 1 December 1958. The destroyer was involved in a collision with the French destroyer Maille-Breze on 15 November 1958 during the NATO exercise MEDASWEX 27 in the Mediterranean. Ten feet of HURON’s bow was crumpled as far as frame 10 and displaced 50 degrees to starboard.
