HMS LCT 7057 (Landing Craft Tank) heading towards the beaches passing HMCS TRENTONIAN on 7 June 1944. The balloon suspended above her decks was to protect the ship from air attack. The enemy aircraft could not fly close to the ships without being tangled in the heavy wires from the balloons.
