Merchant Aircraft Carrier (MAC) ship recovering aircraft while in convoy. One aircraft is just astern of the MAC ship, with a second aircraft already on the forward flight deck. An additional fifteen merchant ships can be seen in the convoy. MAC ships were converted merchant tankers, given a flight deck and up to four fighter aircraft to ward off U-Boats.
