Before departing Londonderry on 23 May 1944, HMCS TRENTONIAN took on a full load of ammunition for all her weapons. Temporarily piled like cord wood, the gunners are storing the rounds in the ready use lockers on the forward gun deck and the remainder will go below to the 4 inch magazine.
