Under the watchful eyes of armed RN sailors, thousands of German Prisoner-of-War have been gathered at the harbour in Wilhelmshaven, Germany on 28 May 1945. Photo taken from HMCS IROQUOIS (foreground) on her arrival in the German port after escorting the German cruisers PRINZ EUGEN and NURMBURG from Copenhagen, Denmark for their formal surrender to Allied forces.
